✶ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ✶
Do you charge hourly or by design?
✶ I charge $150 hourly for custom work and I price by piece for flash/pre-drawn designs. I am always happy to design something that works with your budget. If there is a certain price range you are trying to stick within please let me know.
What are your favorite things to tattoo?
✶ Insects, animals, plants, bones, teeth, cryptids, antiques, moody eyes/faces, chunky line designs, and pop media characters from video games, cartoons, anime, and graphic novels.
Will I see my tattoo design prior to my appointment time?
✶ In short- not at this time. Due to the volume of clients I take on, designs are typically drawn the night before or the morning of your tattoo appointment. I do this to make sure each design is given enough attention as close to the appointment time as possible. This is also why I request information in your booking form such as placement photos, approximate size in inches, and any sketches/reference photos that best represent your tattoo request. I also allow for consultations where we can discuss your tattoo design in person and go over a rough sketch for the design layout.
I'm considering using numbing cream for my tattoo appointment, is that okay with you?
✶ If you are coming in for a first time tattoo I usually advise against it. I know firsts can be a little nerve wracking, but I feel its important to know what this experience for your body is like. Using this during larger scale or more tender areas of your body is totally understandable. I don't personally have issues with clients using numbing creams as long as you have done a test patch on yourself prior to your appointment. I request this because I have had a small handful of clients use numbing creams for their appointments and have had allergic reactions (skin redness, irritation, swelling or welting)
If there is a specific brand you had in mind and want a second opinion feel free to send over the name and I can let you know if it's a brand I or my coworkers have any experience with.
Are you okay wearing a mask while you tattoo?- Immune compromised tattoo-lover
✶ I'm always happy to wear a face covering! Please let me know of any additional precautions necessary prior to your appointment time.
Would you ever tattoo someone else's art?
✶ If it falls within the style of work that I do I'd be open to tattooing another artists work with their permission. I prefer to do work that I design myself and would love to create something inspired by the artwork/references that you send over. While I enjoy tattooing designs that reference pop media, I do take the time to draw each character or reference myself.
What is your policy on touch-ups?
✶ I allow 1 free touch up within 3 months post tattoo. Touch ups are for inconsistencies directly affected by technical issues. This does not include negligent aftercare, fading due to sun exposure, or fallout as a result of injury.
*These are just a few questions I find myself repeating- if you have any additional questions please let me know through the contact page.
